.NAME Domains

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain extension is the single TLD meant for personal sites only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are famous by. At first, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to book john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing third-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can register your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to edit the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular requirements on who can book a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
